Tony came to Seattle from California in 1959 and has called the Pacific Northwest his home ever since. He graduated from the fondly-remembered Queen Anne High School, and also from Stanford University, where he was in the Navy ROTC program. He served as an officer in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam era. Toward the end of his Naval service, he met Iowa-born Debbie and the two were married in 1977. They came to Alderwood as brand new followers of Christ in 1984 and immediately began experiencing the exciting growth that comes from strong Bible teaching. They raised their two children Adam and Sally at Alderwood; Adam now attends ACC along with his wife Stephanie and their three children. Sally attends Bethany Community in Seattle.
Tony has taught Adult Fellowship classes and for several years served as Worship Leader. Today, he and Debbie teach the “Love & Respect” marriage class and co-lead a Life Group. Tony also leads a weekly men’s small group. He worked for more than two decades in Christian broadcasting and now serves as a professional fundraiser for an alternative high school in Seattle.
