How to reach us:

Ryan and Diana Cleveland have been missionaries with Cru, the U.S. Ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ, since 2001, having served on Field Teams at the University of Idaho and Central Washington University, as Team Leaders for the Field Team in Northern Nevada, before transitioning to serving on their regional Leadership Development & HR Team from 2011 to 2017.Ryan and Diana have been married for 18 years and have two children, Abby (12) and Josh (10).

Ryan currently serves as the Leadership Development & HR Director for Valor, Cru’s outreach ministry to ROTC Cadets, Midshipmen, and Veterans on campus. The mission of Valor is to reach cadets, midshipmen, and veterans in order to help reach the world through the military, as well make a Godly impact in the lives of the men and women serving our country. You can learn more about Valor at valormovement.com. In his role, Ryan is responsible for overseeing recruiting, new and senior missionary allocation, team leader allocation, training, missionary care, and team heath, to ensure that all Cru missionaries serving with Valor are walking with the Lord, fully developed and equipped to engage the mission of reaching lost students and faculty for Christ.

Diana currently serves with Cru City in their community-based ministry to Internationals, Immigrants, and Refugees. In her role, Diana is responsible for helping mobilize and partner with local churches and like-minded volunteers to reach the world though the ever-growing population of international and immigrants coming to our cities each year. The nations are quite literally coming to our doorsteps, giving unbelievers unprecedented access to the gospel.

Dear Alderwood Family,
Diana and I continually give thanks to the Lord for the privilege of being Alderwood Missionaries as well as church members. We are grateful for your continued partnership and support.

We are keeping busy over the summer as the Lord continues to work in some pretty amazing ways. Mikyung came to faith in Christ over a year ago and is asking the Lord how she and Diana can reach more people in our community with the Gospel. Mikyung talked with her pastor, and set up a meeting with her, her pastor (Joyful Church), and Diana. During the meeting, Pastor Cho told Diana, “I have been impressed to hear about how God has been at work in Mikyung’s life, and how he has brought you and Mikyung together” Pastor Cho began. “I am in awe of God and wonder what He is up to.” They continued to talk through ways they could partner together to see people reached for Christ in the local Korean community.

Additionally, Diana is working with one of our neighbors, Pastor Sungjin, a Korean church planter, to find a church that might have space on their campus. She recently was able to host a meeting with Pastor Sungjin, and a Pastor and Elder from a church in south Everett that is looking to actively engage in cross-cultural ministry.

At the same time, I am working on preparing for my first fall in my new role as the Leadership Development & HR Director for Valor, Cru’s outreach ministry to ROTC Cadets, Midshipmen, and Veterans on university campuses across the U.S.

Currently, our Valor Missionaries are serving all over the world, from Fort Knox to sensitive locations in Asia. While our missionaries are away on summer missions, that is a time where I can spend focused time on strategic planning for the year, as well as other key projects that will enable us to reach a greater number of people for Christ, Lord willing.

Thank you for your continued partnership in helping to reach the world for Christ. We couldn’t do it without the Lord’s work through the body of Christ at Alderwood Community Church!
