Church Planting in Nayarit, Mexico

How to reach us: or

Kevin began attending ACC in high school and first became interested in missions during a short-term trip to the Philippines in 1985. He left his job at Boeing in 1989 to attend Bible college! Alina grew up Catholic in Acapulco and Guadalajara and accepted Christ at age 18 when her mother became a Christian. Kevin met Alina while attending New Tribes Mission Training Institute in Baker City, Oregon, and they were married in 1992.

The Beach family has worked in Mexico for over 20 years now, 13 of those with New Tribes mission in the Tarahumara tribe in Chihuahua, Mexico and the Tepehuan tribe in Durango, Mexico. They are now church planting with FIM in a town called “Valle Dorado” located in the Bay of Banderas (Puerto Vallarta) in the state of Nayarit.

Greetings from Mexico and Happy New Year!

We are church planters. As 2 Corinthians 5:18, 20; Matthew 28:19-20 states, our marching orders:

  1. Ministry of Reconciliation
  2. Make disciples
  3. Baptize
  4. Teaching that we obey everything that God has instructed us to do and be

In a sermon I recently challenged the men in the church plant (Iglesia Bíblica Ministerio de Vida Nueva - Ministry of New Life Bible Church) to make 2018 their year of growth in the Lord. To plan for the next 12 months as the goal to mature to the full stature of Christ. (Ephesians 4:13). That takes planning! We never "plan on failing" but if we don't plan on victory and winning we will surely fail! How is your plan for growth in the Lord going for this year? We are encouraged in the Lord and so thankful for how He is showing His faithfulness. When we pray, He answers! Maybe not according to our timing, but He does answer. We asked Him for ministry help in the area of time He provided. Answer: Now we have an extra guitarist and base player. Alina has asked for help for Sunday school teachers. Answer: Now we have three Sunday school teachers! We asked for wisdom...Answer: He has given us wisdom in helping broken marriages heal and strengthen and discernment to recognize error and correct it. We prayed for strength. Answer: He taught us to trust Him, and in the right moment, God grants the strength. (Not before)

We have been doing a two hour "church service" at a drug rehab center for two years. By His grace he has allowed us to minister at this spiritually dark place. We have one goal: To take a sinner profoundly and definitively LOST...then there may be a chance yet for him to realize he is LOST INDEED, then repent and recognize Jesus to be the only way of Salvation. We have seen folks leave the rehab center just to return defeated and frustrated at their inability to shake their addictions and come clean. I guess its a matter of being "CLEAN" inside spiritually by the "New Birth" that comes from above.

Pray for the salvation of souls as we minister to the unsaved. Pray for those who have been born again to grow. It is a major battle between the old way of life and the new! Pray they hunger and thirst for God's words.
